Three steps
How to convert JPG to PNG
No sign-up, no watermark, no upload.
Add your JPG files
Drag them onto the panel or browse your device. Up to eight files can be staged at once, and nothing is uploaded — the files stay in this tab.
Convert to PNG
PNG export runs entirely in your browser. The work happens on your own device, so there is no queue, no server round trip and no account to create.
Save the PNG
A single file downloads automatically; a batch gives you a Save all button so your browser does not block the burst of downloads. The original JPG file is left untouched.
Common questions
JPG to PNG questions
Does converting JPG to PNG bring back lost quality?
No. JPG is lossy, so detail that was already discarded is gone for good. What PNG buys you is that it stops any *further* loss — useful if the image will be opened, edited and re-saved several times.
Will the PNG have a transparent background?
No. A JPG has no transparency to begin with, so there is nothing to carry over. To get a transparent PNG you need a source that already has an alpha channel, such as a PNG or WebP file.
Why is the PNG so much bigger than the JPG?
PNG stores every pixel losslessly, so photographic images commonly grow three to ten times in size. If file size matters more than losslessness, keep the original JPG.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion uses the Canvas API inside this browser tab, and the finished PNG is saved straight to your device.
