Why would I convert WebP back to JPG?
Compatibility, almost always. Browsers handle WebP well, but older content management systems, some marketplace upload forms, desktop publishing tools and certain document editors still do not.
Do I lose transparency?
Yes. WebP supports an alpha channel and JPG does not, so transparent regions become solid white.
Is WebP already lossy, so am I losing more quality?
A little. If the WebP was saved losslessly you are introducing JPEG artifacts for the first time; if it was already lossy you are compressing it twice. The 92 percent setting keeps the difference hard to spot.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes — drop up to eight images on the page and each one is converted and saved separately.
